Snug Harbor's Newhouse Center For Contemporary Art was rocking and styling on Saturday evening as the SOS: Stories of Staten Island series of cultural events continued with Storylines: The Fashion Show.

More than 50 people tapped their feet and shook their heads to DJ Grayson Adams, who played hip-hop, b-boy break beats, alternative rock and R&B.

The event featured the latest fashions from Staten Island designers and companies, including Richmond Hood Company, RoseDreams, F.L.Y. First Love Yourself, Saviwear and G.R.E.A.T. Apparel.

The show was hosted by Kiss of WLIU-BK Radio and sponsored by Sterotype Co. and JMT Media.

The SOS series is curated by Starda Perry and Charlie Rock.

Angelina Gorbea, a 14-year-old Sunset Hill resident, enjoyed her first fashion show ever, while taking pictures and interning with her professional photographer father Ray.

"The show was very good," Gorbea said. "The outfits were diverse, but simple and the patterns had different styles."
